Neighborhood pets to love

Feeding the LlamasMy husband David & I are in that stage of our life when we want to travel more, not less. So the only pets we have chosen to own are the dozen gold fish in our pond, who can survive completely solo. And a stray cat who still won’t let us get near him, but will eat the kibble anyway thank you very much! So we love our neighbors pets through the fences. The llamas along our property line really love carrots and apples. So when we have guests for dinner we try to coax them down to the cedar groves.  All 9 come running dreadlocks in tow.  My personal favorite is Little Missy. She’s the smallest llama on the right. We love their long eyelashes and no, we’ve never gotten spit on. They do snort a lot though. We also have horses & goats at other neighbors homes along our daily walk down our peaceful country road.  What a joy to live “out in the county” with critters to love vicariously (through the fences).
